Hello everyone, and welcome to the fifth issue of Inside Hokie Sports for the 2019-20 academic year. The staff debuted this new-look magazine in 2016, and it now can be viewed online for free in this interactive format. Readers should keep in mind that the new format includes the implementation of video, allows readers to bookmark articles, allows for the starting of a slideshow, and possesses a feature that enables readers to share easily through one’s social media outlets, along with more. Past issues can be viewed easily by clicking the links below.

The national effects of the coronavirus put an end to sports for the remainder of the academic year, but this issue takes a look at the support areas with Virginia Tech Athletics, who have continued to work—just in a little bit different manner. Also, the issue includes a story on how some of Tech’s international student-athletes are coping while being unable to return to their native countries, and how the NCAA’s decision to grant spring sport student-athletes an additional year of eligibility has forced some of Tech’s seniors to juggle their future plans.

In addition, the magazine includes a feature on offensive lineman Brock Hoffman, and it includes columns from Jimmy Robertson and Jon Laaser, and more.

All that and more can be read in the May version of Inside Hokie Sports, so we hope you enjoy the issue!
