Season Ending Depth Chart

Here the depth chart for the 2009 season. The number of plays does NOT include the bowl game (coaches have not graded the film yet), but the stats are for the entire season. The number before the slash indicates plays from scrimmage, while the number after the slash indicates plays from special teams. The number of plays, the grades and the tackles came from the coaching staff.

OFFENSE

Quarterbacks

5 Tyrod Taylor (6-1, 216, Jr.) – 718/0. Started all 13 games and completed 136-of-243 (56 percent) for 2,311 yards, with 13 touchdowns and five interceptions. Also rushed for 370 yards on 106 carries (3.5 ypc) and five touchdowns.

12 Ju-Ju Clayton (6-1, 208, r-Fr.) – 51/0. Played in five games. Completed 1-of-5, with the completion being an 80-yarder for a touchdown to Marcus Davis.

16 Jeff Beyer (6-5, 227, r-Sr.) – 3/0.

Tailbacks

34 Ryan Williams (5-10, 206, r-Fr.) – 559/1. A third-team All-America selection. The ACC rookie of the year and a first-team All-ACC selection. Started all 13 games. Rushed for 1,655 yards on 293 carries, breaking the Tech single-season record for rushing yards (also setting an ACC freshman rushing record). Scored 22 total touchdowns, including 21 rushing touchdowns, setting ACC single-season marks in both categories.

25 Josh Oglesby (5-11, 210, r-Soph.) – 155/0. Played in all 13 games. Rushed for 335 yards on 78 carries and scored two touchdowns. Caught three passes for 20 yards.

4 David Wilson (5-10, 200, Fr.) – 93/40. Played in all 13 games. Rushed for 334 yards on 59 carries and scored four touchdowns. Returned 17 kickoffs, averaging 19.1 yards per return, with a long of 42.

46 Zac Evans (5-10, 190, r-Fr.) – 4/8. Played in three games.
