Jessica Nonn | Senior | Catonsville, Md.
Jessica Nonn easily will go down as one of the greatest lacrosse players in Virginia Tech’s young lacrosse history, and she capped her career with a great senior season in which she led the Hokies in virtually every statistical category.
Nonn led the team with 32 goals, 11 assists and 43 points. She also led the team with 52 draw controls and 29 ground balls. She tied for the team lead with two game-winning goals.
Nonn may forever be remembered for her game against then-No. 7 UVa on April 7. She scored the team’s final three goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to lift the Hokies to a 10-9 win over the Cavaliers – Tech’s first ever win over UVa in 17 tries. The win also marked Tech’s first over a top-10 opponent. For her effort, Nonn was named the ACC’s Offensive Player of the Week that week.
Following the regular season, Nonn earned a spot on the All-ACC team. She became the fourth Hokie to be named to the all-conference team since Tech joined the league.
For her career, Nonn finished ranked second all time at Tech in goals scored (139), ground balls (160) and caused turnovers (103). She ranked third all time with 161 draw controls and 168 points.
