28 Inside Hokie Sports This group wants to have more staying power this season. Floyd says they’re built for it. “Way better,” he said when asked about the team’s chemistry. “We have a lot more bonding, team activities that bring everybody together. There is no more individual. It’s everyone as a whole. It’s a team, including coaches. It’s an actual family now.” Floyd knows about family. His has helped him to a successful career at every level. He’s hoping the ending of it—both for him and his team—follows suit. GETTING TO KNOW… REGGIE FLOYD Q: What would be your dream vacation? RF: Cancun or Hawaii. Some place with a beautiful view. Q: Where is your favorite place to eat? RF: Everywhere. I’m not picky at all. Q: If you could trade places with someone for a day, who would it be? RF: Floyd Mayweather. I’m just a Floyd Mayweather fan. If anyone else is boxing, I don’t care about it. He’s got a lot of style, and he can back up what he talks about. That’s the main thing for me. Q: Are you big into social media, and if so, what is your favorite platform? RF: Somewhat. I would say mainly just because of football, just posting pictures. I would say Instagram. Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years? RF: In the league [NFL] making some money and doing what I love. FLOYD Continued from page 28 Reggie Floyd is a two-year starter at rover and one of just five seniors on a young 2019 Virginia Tech squad.
