inside.hokiesports.com 27 • The Hokies’ sixth-place finish at the ACC Championship marked their best in the four-year history of the program. • Amanda Hollandsworth finished fifth in the race for medalist honors at the NCAA Championship, capping a string of six straight events to close her career in which she finished in the top 15. • Emily Mahar enjoyed an outstanding sophomore season, recording two top-five finishes and three top-10 finishes. She led Tech with a 73.3 scoring average. She played 31 rounds and shot worse than 75 in just four of those. • Keera Foocharoen notched the program’s lone win this past season, taking medalist honors at the Alexa Stirling Intercollegiate. She shot rounds of 70, 70 and 72 to come in at 4-under-par and beat 63 other golfers in the field. • Hollandsworth shot the low round of the season for the Hokies, firing a 67 in the final round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge in late September. • Hollandsworth competed in the U.S. Women’s Open in late May and early June after winning a sectional qualifier at the Springfield Golf and Country Club in Springfield, Virginia on April 30.
