KIDS CLUB THE OF VIRGINIA TECH ATHLETICS Official • The Hokies came in fourth place as a team at the ACC Swimming and Diving Championships under first-year head coach Sergio Lopez Miro and now have finished in the top five 12 times in 15 seasons since Tech joined the league for the 2004-05 season. • Sophomore Lane Stone broke his own records in the 500-yard freestyle, 1,650 freestyle and 200 freestyle events this season. He broke the 500 freestyle record at the ACC Championships, where he topped the record that he set a year ago and won a bronze medal. • Stone broke the 200 freestyle record twice at the ACC Championships on his way to a fourth-place finish. He broke Jan Switkowski’s 2014 mark in the preliminary swim and then broke his own record in the finals. • Freshman Antani Ivanov and senior Norbert Szabo also won medals at the ACC Championships. Ivanov won a bronze medal in the 200 butterfly, breaking Morgan Latimer’s school record in the preliminary swim and then breaking his own record in the finals. Szabo won a bronze medal in the 200 individual medley. • Stone and Ivanov earned honorable mention All- America honors at the NCAA Championships. Stone finished 11th in the 500 freestyle, while Ivanov came in 12th in the 200 butterfly.
