In the final nine games, the Hokies outscored their opponents 308- 207 (34.2-23 ppg) and went 6-3. • Tech’s shutouts of Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh in back-to-back games in November enabled the Hokies to become the first ACC school to shut out Power 5 foes in back-to-back games since 1978. • Rayshard Ashby earned second-team All-ACC honors after leading the league in total tackles with 120. The mike linebacker averaged a league-best 9.2 tackles for a game. • Caleb Farley, a cornerback, was the lone Hokie to earn first-team All- ACC honors after leading the ACC in passes defensed (16) and finishing tied for second in the league with four interceptions. • Hendon Hooker started eight games, and the Hokies went 6-2 in those starts, averaging 36 points per game. Hooker completed 61 percent of his passes, with 13 touchdown passes and just two interceptions. He also rushed for five touchdowns.
