Dine in or Room Service Looking for a “HOKIE HOME” away from HOME? program and the great things happening with our baseball program! Baseball alums can reach me at chip.runyon@beaconharborwealth. com, or by joining our Facebook Group ‘Virginia Tech Baseball Alumni.’ Go Hokies!” THANK YOU FROM HOKIE SENIORS! Olivia Lattin (softball, second base; B.S. in finance – 2019, B.S. in management – 2020): “It breaks my heart that I will unfortunately miss my final season here at Virginia Tech. After a knee injury that took my season in 2019, I looked at my 2020 season with excitement and passion. As the only senior in 2020, I was honored to play with so many great players who also proved to be great individuals. With the 2020 season being canceled, it is now time for me to move on, forever wearing VT across my chest as I venture into my career. I want to thank Tech for giving me five years’ worth of memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. I will forever be proud to be a Hokie and will continue to smile from ear to ear when talking to people about the place I have been able to call home. Thank you, Virginia Tech, for inspiring me to be the best person I can be. Once a Hokie, always a Hokie. As for my future, I will take the valuable lessons and knowledge I have learned as a Hokie and apply it to further my career goals.” Joseph Tay (track and field, sprints; B.S. in criminology – 2020): “I would like to thank Hokie Nation for an incredible three years I have enjoyed while attending Tech. I would like to thank coaches of the track and field team, especially director [Dave] Cianelli and Coach [Tim] Vaught for giving me the opportunity to complete while wearing a Tech uniform. I would like to give thanks to my teammates for pushing me to become the best student-athlete I could possibly be. Shout out to Nick Vaccaro for being one of the best athletic advisors ever! Special shout to friends and family, as I could not have done this without them. It sucks the way the season ended and not running for Tech for one final time. We’ve just got to be strong, and we’ll get through this experience together. Thank you all!” SALUTE! The club recognizes those seniors who lost their spring 2020 seasons because of the pandemic; including those in the sports of baseball, cheerleading, cross country, golf, lacrosse, softball, track and field, and tennis. To those taking their next steps and departing Tech, the club wishes good luck. To those returning for a try at another senior season in the spring of 2021, keep at it.
