Inside HOKIE SPORTS | Vol. 11 No. 4 | March 2019
The Virginia Tech men’s basketball team — and its fans — made Cassell Coliseum a nightmare for opponents, as the Hokies went 14-2 at the venerable arena this season. Among those 14 wins was the program’s 600th victory in the building, which came when Tech knocked off Georgia Tech 76-68 on Feb. 13, and head coach Buzz Williams now has guided the team to at least 14 home victories in each of the past four seasons. Tech improved to 66-22 — a .750 winning percentage — at Cassell under Williams since his arrival. The Hokies were popular among their fans, too, with eight of their home games, including seven ACC games, selling out. CASSELL COLISEUM— LIT ALL SEASON!
