20 Inside Hokie Sports • The Hokies finished the season at No. 16 in the final Associated Press poll after a year in which they set school records with 26 overall wins and 12 ACC wins. • Tech made a third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance for the first time in program history, advancing to the Sweet 16. This year’s team became just the second ever at Tech to advance to the regional semifinals of the NCAA’s postseason tournament. • Ty Outlaw shot 46.7 percent from beyond the 3-point arc for his career, which made him the program’s all- time leader in career 3-point field- goal percentage. He broke former teammate Justin Bibbs’ record of 42.4 percent. • Kerry Blackshear Jr. and Nickeil Alexander-Walker both earned All-ACC honors this past season. Blackshear earned second-team All-ACC honors after a season in which he averaged 14.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Alexander- Walker earned a third-team nod after averaging 16.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4 assists per game. • Justin Robinson became the school’s all-time leader in career assists with 562, breaking Bimbo Coles’ record of 547.
