She also finished second on the team with 90 assists. • Talyn Jackson registered 1,027 assists on the season and was seventh in the ACC in assists per set at 8.84. • Jackson registered her first career triple double (46 assists, 10 kills, 16 digs) in the Hokies’ upset win over North Carolina in the regular-season finale Nov. 29. • The Hokies won the Amy Svoboda Memorial Classic in Colorado Springs, Colorado in mid-September, giving them a sixth noncon­ ference tournament title in the past three years. • Tech’s win over then-No. 23 Louisville on Oct. 20 marked its first win over a ranked team since beating then-No. 19 Michigan State in 2015. • Virginia Tech Athletics hired former Radford coach Marci Byers as theheadcoach following Jill Wilson’s resignation at the conclusion of the season.
