Themost-anticipatedweekend of the college football season for Virginia
Tech fans started with College GameDay’s first show in Blacksburg in
more than a decade and continued with a perfect afternoon for tailgating.
The Saturday night scene at Lane Stadium, with “Enter Sandman” and
fireworks – as seen in this photo – was simply epic. Unfortunately, the day
ended on a down note, as the Hokies fell to defending national champion
Clemson, but for sure, the build-up to the game created memorable
experiences for a majority of Tech fans, many of whom figure to be back
later in October, as the Hokies continue their pursuit of yet another
Coastal Division crown.
